Shivapuri Nagi Gumba climb is a short one-day climb near Kathmandu. The climb lasts around an hour and takes you through Budanilkantha and Shivapuri National Park. However, you must travel around forty minutes to the bottom of Shivapuri National Park before beginning your climb. Nagi Gumba is a Buddhist monastery on the summit of a hill that offers a panoramic view of Kathmandu and, on occasion, the Langtang Himalayas.
Hike to Shivapuri Nagi Gumba is a modest walk that is best done with friends and family to get away from the noise and bustle of Kathmandu. It starts immediately outside the Budanilkantha Temple.
